Holnicote House designated non-smoking lies in a 12500 acre estate in the Horner Valley half a mile from Selworthy in the Exmoor National Park. Just a short walk from the house is Dunkery Beacon a vantage point over miles of heather and upland and cliffs and beaches are a short drive away. The 28 en-suite bedrooms are located in the main building and in attractive cottages in the grounds and are equipped with a hairdryer clock radio and complimentary tea and coffee making facilities. Televisions and telephones are not provided in the bedrooms. Non en-suite rooms are also available. An outdoor heated swimming pool is available for guests from May to September inclusive as well as badminton and putting. Indoors guests can relax in the two lounges or bar while the children play table tennis. Meals are served in an informal friendly atmosphere at tables for up to eight guests. A three-course dinner is served at 7 to 7.30pm for a charge of 18 GBP per person. If you would like to dine at the country house please contact the house before 6pm to make your dinner reservation. A choice of full English or continental breakfast is offered. To allow you to make the most of your touring or walking holiday a self-select picnic lunch can be provided for the small charge of 10 GBP per person. Free car parking is available. Please notify the country house in advance if you intend to arrive after 10.30pm. Bedrooms are available from 2.30pm on the day of arrival and should be vacated by 10.00am on the day of departure.The National Park location makes Holnicote House an excellent base for those on an activity or walking holiday. Other nearby attractions include Dunster castle Lynton and Lynmouth cliff railway and Exmoor Zoological park.
